Reading through Lifted will lift your spirit as you walk through this journey of faith in God. Kevin has articulated well the journey that each individual goes through as God works through a Christian's life, one who has allowed God to lead and guide his/her journey of faith. Illustrated through real-life experiences, the believer is encouraged to be patient, obedient, forgiving, prayerful, humble and dependent on God through His Holy Spirit in this journey. The quotes enhanced the lessons learnt and the reflective questions were probing enough to cause a person to genuinely reflect on where they are at, and what needs to change to freely allow God to guide and work in their life. Lifted highlights the importance of an authentic relationship with God, and with the community God has placed us in; we are surrounded! It is a book that I would say fits to be read by a newbie in Christ, to teach that it is not an easy walk, but one where victory is guaranteed if done in obedience. For the veteran in the faith, I would say it is a good reminder to encourage one to keep journeying with the head held up high, confidently knowing that He who called us is always with us, and is leading us to victory!The book will encourage and challenge you to live a life that is obedient to God, and release yourself totally to Him as a vessel in His hands. It is well written, easy to read and captivating book. A good read for sure!
