The lockdowns of 2020 forced us all to sit still and contemplate a world that had suddenly ground to a halt. It was a year of strange and uncomfortable separation, from family and friends, from places, from the lives we knew. Now, in 2021, we can find each other again through the shared memories and emotions that transcend physical isolation. The essays and poems in Fray & Mend broadly interpret the ideas of division and reunion through fifty unique perspectives. Written by Singapore American School's Advanced Topic Writing Workshop and Publication class, this anthology is a genuine account of the struggles and revelations of teens in this frayed, and mending, era.
