In a series of unfortunate events, Michael Patrice--a young, energetic, and successful entrepreneur--finds himself incarcerated at the Richmond Hill Prison on mainland Grenada, robbed of the opportunity to woo Vanessa, the woman of his dreams, and perhaps ever walk free again. The plot thickens as he flees to Saint Vincent and the Grenadines in the aftermath of Hurricane Ivan in the hope of escaping his predicament. Years later, while living in the United States with a new face and a new name, he is drawn once more into Vanessa's world, and they now have a child together. Vanessa is excited to return to Grenada to introduce her parents to their grandson and future son-in-law.

Michael Patrice, now Jordan Cole, has once again found himself in a quagmire that can be aptly described only as between a rock and a very hard place. Should he reveal his true identity to Vanessa and risk losing her? Should he run while he still can, or should he return to Grenada to face his demons?
