"T& T in Poetry: A Rainbow Collection" is a celebration of the multi-ethnic diversity of Trinidad and Tobago through poetry and photography. This version is called "The All-Inclusive" because it includes all of the poems for this project in a single book. A slightly different version is in the making and would be comprised of different volumes. This book is colour-coded, with a specific hue assigned to each section or ethnic group. The poetry (58 poems in all) is presented in chronological sequence (except for the Tobago section), providing an intrinsic history lesson, as it spans The First Peoples to The Syrian-Lebanese (along with a few extra sections). Each section begins with a five-line color poem, and this is followed by a "Memory Lane" prose passage with an authentic street name, which describes my (the author's) personal experience with each group that is presented. The book is designed to offer a feel-good read and offers minimal social commentary. Wonderful studio recordings (including original music) have been produced, and I anticipate their release. This project is 'more-ish' and can help ease the homesickness of Trinis who live abroad, woo visitors to our shores, and (most importantly) remind us of how beautiful we are as a nation, and that our diversity is a gift to the world!
