In recent times, the conventional concept of Environmental economics is fast changing and opening up, thus giving ways to more inclusive elements of environmental sciences, such as ecological economies, natural resources management, biodiversity preservation, pollution control, global climate economies, climate governance, environmental regulations and audit, energy conservation, emissions trading, eco-labelling and carbon foot-printing.
