Ways to Fulda Søren Landkildehus 第1 版

From ancient times, the roads through the gap in the mountains made Fulda strategically important to emperors, abbots, merchants and mercenaries. In Fulda, destinies across centuries are woven into transformative events. Meet Gerhard whose recent breakup with his girlfriend sends him on a journey to Santiago de Compostela and back again. Gerhard's decision impacts the lives of others he encounters along the way. Strangely, the decision resonates how his ancestors made their way to and from Fulda. Meet Esther, a Jewish piano player, who flee Fulda during Kristallnacht. Meet Ranulf, a disgraced knight, who sells his sword to protect a nun on a dangerous quest to the Abbey in medieval Fulda. On the Camino, Gerhard meets Mrs. Kim from Korea who shows Gerhard another way to live. Their lives, past and present, are tied together in patterns folded like origami.
