Carlin Canucks live in the North Philippine. In 1970s, the Bruce couple came to join in one Carlin Canucks tribe and lived with them together. The couple translated the New Testament into the local language. They also summarized the grammar rules in the local language, and made the phonetic table for local people. This couple has lived and worked in Philippine for 16 years and established the deep friendship with local people. Their children grew up there. The Philippine government appreciated their efforts so much that it gave them a high evaluation of the literacy campaign launched by the couple.
