Assessment is a process that provides important information for decision making, information that is valuable to promote the progress of students in the same school, information that allows teachers and parents to strengthen strategies to help students, to educational authorities allows them to improve the curriculum and educational policies; Therefore, this text reflects on the importance given to evaluation since the school tradition and how it should be understood today with the sense and desire to improve through accurate, clear and timely feedback as a means to recognize strengths and areas of opportunity in the learning process of each person.
