Dynamic Voltage Restorer is most effective and efficient custom power devices to protect the sensitive loads against the power disturbances and fault conditions due to lower cost, smaller size, and dynamic response. Control system is the core of the DVR and its algorithm directly affects the performance of the DVR. The main objective of the book is to investigate which type of controllers are most suitable for the proposed systems in mitigating the power quality disturbances. Multi open loop with various control methods are used to ensure a successful operation of the Dynamic Voltage Restorer. Conventional PI controller, Fuzzy Logic controller and ANFIS optimized fuzzy logic controller are modeled and simulated for compensating sag, asymmetrical voltage, swell, and harmonics conditions by considering two test system. The simulation results showed that the Fuzzy Neural optimized Fuzzy Logic controller is the most efficient in improving the performance of the Dynamic Voltage Restorer in compensating any kind of voltage variations and reducing the Total Harmonic Distortion (THD) to a permissible limit for all the proposed systems.
