Ultrasound imaging is a very rich imaging modality, which has much of unrealized potential. This book presents a method of resolving aggregated scatter information from tissue into multiple angles. This angular scatter imaging could provide a new useful diagnostics of human tissues. Further, this book provides two new methods of extracting speed of sound in tissue. Not only this could improve the image quality of the ultrasound images but also brings a novel diagnostic tool to radiology. The general context of the problems is presented thoroughly in easy to follow style. The ?big picture? and conceptual variations have been emphasized and made as helpful as possible to other research efforts on the topic. The book contains many thoughtful illustrations.
