Thoughts occur to people in many different forms. The most common ones are: inner conversation, images, both of the above (called Dual Coding Theory), and concepts. This paper examines many aspects of these methods of thought. It also describes some original research that was conducted regarding the roles of these modes of thought and learning disabilities, psychological illness, and many other factors.
