Rational Farming: Development and Change in Dade Hmong Community Yang Congming

This book presents on development and changes in agroforestry practice in Dade Hmong community in Guizhou Province of China. The study identifies this through extensive data arising from fieldwork, and presents both from productive and discursive practices reflects farmer's actions and local meaning changes after China adopting the market economy. It not only examines what Hmong farmers behavior changes in agroforestry pracitice,but also examines why local people changes their acitons while they responeses to market economy and rural development polices.
