Fish is one of the best and abundantly found aquatic organisms in the world with superior nutritional value. Pakistan has been endowed with vast expanse of both marine and inland fisheries resources which possess great development potential and can support a rich variety of fish of nutritional significance and economic value. The biomass productivity of water bodies can be enhanced by using inorganic fertilizers. It is widely recommended that biological productivity in aquaculture ponds is limited by nutrients. Appropriate application of fertilizers has become a management protocol in aquaculture.
