In this Book, an attempt has been made by focusing on SDLC process composed at the project level and their behavioral over time. The process behavior is monitored across projects performance is modeled by identifying the relevant dependent and independent variable. A Multiple linear regression model has been specified to predict total defects in the code by studying various process variables. This model confirms coding effort and testing effort would significantly influence the total defects present in the code. One can make predictions on the number of defects present in the code by controlling coding and testing efforts.
