The concept of 'colouring back" is a symbolic one where the imagination of the reader then gives the women listed significance by colouring them. Each book then becomes unique keepsake which is created as you learn and relax.

The 'Colour Us Back' colouring books were created by London artist, Elle Smith, with her own illustrations. This series of books offer colouring books with a creative concept, where these books allow learning through easy to read text, including a biography and inspring quotes by the characters covered including Mary Seacole, Hedy Lamarr and Helen Keller. There is a second book in the series detailing male characters who similarly made a noteable impact on our history, but whom have not received the recognition for their contribtions.

These books are suitable for adults and children alike, and unlike other colouring books will become a prize possession for years to come as a reference point, but also as a unique book which is coloured by the readers imagination.
