The Queen's York Rangers have a storied history, beginning under Robert Rogers in 1756, and continuing to the present day. For the first time, their first person accounts of military operations are collected together, allowing the reader to see the breadth of the Regiment's history through the eyes of those who served in it. Many of their observations and concerns echo down through the ages, as all of the technological and social changes of the past three centuries have made little difference to the lot of the common soldier when their experience is stripped to the bare essentials. This anthology has first person accounts of operations from the French & Indian War, the American Revolution, the War of 1812, the Red River Rebellion, the Boer War, the First World War, the Second World War, Domestic Operations within Canada, Peacekeeping Operations, the War in Afghanistan and the War in Iraq.
