It is a very rich content of doubts, fears, triumphs and questioning of life. For someone who have faced discrimination and injustice I wanted to share a message of boldness in self and empowering my readers to have courage in what may seem like a dire to fail. When I think of Black Gold it makes me heart smile, cry and filled with laughter and I wish to transcend that to the readers. What do you think Black Gold means? I dare challenge you to dabble in individuality. People will always judge you as it is just what they do. Sometimes, it is constructive criticism and most times it is abuse. While growing up people could not understand why I was so strong in my opinions. I was not afraid to tell what I like and dislike. I basked in sports, games and just enjoying life. I was constantly instructed of what was expected of me and instead I paved my own road of expectations and I must say, not boasting but I lived up to it. Now I want to do more in my journey and try new ventures. It is important that we share our narratives to encapsulate multi-perspectives of our realities, Awe, This book is going to make you laugh out loud, probably make a sigh, a scream or possible shed a tear or two.
