Clarence Chamberlin became the second aviator to fly non-stop across the Atlantic Ocean. With his copilot/passenger, Charles Levine, Chamberlin, in June of 1927, made headlines around the world by flying farther than Charles Lindbergh. Yet, he could have been first. What went wrong?
