"Stone Arrowhead PHOTOGRAPHY"Mastering some of the various methods used to produce effective photographs of ancient artifacts or even modern flint knapping reproductions of ancient artifact designs is of particular interest to artifact collectors and students of archaeology and experimental archaeology. So many times we try to share images of artifacts and are frustrated with the quality of the digital photographs we make or receive from others. This disappointing experience can occur on-line or even in publications like books and magazines. What are the special techniques which make some photographs so much better? How can we improve our ability to see and imagine ahead of time the image which we want to capture? Might that help us to work with camera and lighting and visualization to accomplish the improved quality of images which we really like to see?Are there only certain kinds of cameras which can make it possible for us to make good artifact images? Or is it more a matter of learning the individual capability of any particular camera? And learning how to use each digital imaging tool to create the most effective outcome? What about simple lighting techniques? And choices of backgrounds? How can an artifact photographer master these additional tools to produce effective images? This book, "Stone Arrowhead PHOTOGRAPHY", looks at all of these questions and gives you working examples of how they can be mastered to create the kinds of close-up, effective images which you want to make. Images which can communicate so well that you feel like the artifact is right there, "in your hand," as you enjoy the photographs. Then, others with whom you want to share those new images will also be able to view and understand the details and the beauty of the artifacts which you photograph."Stone Arrowhead PHOTOGRAPHY" Full color, photo-illustrated throughout with working examples of both ancient artifacts and modern flint knapping craftsmanship. 114 pages.
