In 1970's Apartheid South Africa, 17 year-old Marc wins an American Exchange Scholarship. In the U. S. he falls in love with Laura, and a countdown begins for an inevitable separation across the Atlantic Ocean. "She had fallen deeply in love with a stranger from another part of the world.
