During the mid-1400s in the land of Musselshell, two souls find everlasting love at the towns harvest festival. Narrated by Helena, a chaste woman of faith, Octaves of Sammy tells of an eight-day observance between her and a heroic warrior named Sammy. Within these eight days, she is rescued from flames, followed by an unknown lurking shadow, is bound in love, discovers the true character of Sammy, and learns that both faith and love truly do conquer all.
