This is a book written by the author who interviewed her family members to receive a better understanding of domestic violence for herself and others.

The stories in this book are a collection of my memories and experiences of horrific events me and my family endured as children, which later lead to great relationship struggles for us as adults. Overcoming the effects of domestic violence has been a long process, a journey.

The author wrote short stories of childhood experiences with reflection sections at the end of each chapter with an activity for the reader to complete.
