The desire to move toward new forms of awareness inspired Dr. Koehn to create these images and words as an invitation to explore and expand personal experience and perspective. The author hopes this will serve as a kind of handbook for fellow travelers on this life journey we all share. Dr. Koehn has photographed his world for most of his life. A few years ago, he discovered haiku and found this form of verse a perfect vehicle to integrate images with the words. The interplay between the two forms seemed to introduce a third element, an opening to new visions. Out of the tension, something new is born. These fifty-two haiku each relate to an image. Use this book as a weekly meditation over the course of a year, or explore it on your own. You are invited to bring your own music to the movement created through the words and images.
