After experiencing another breakdown, recently divorced Layla meets the handsome Cross, a free-spirited white guy who has his own issues. The two find solace together and when their friendship blossoms into love; Layla rediscovers her true self and the happiness she's missed. Ironically, while Layla's life seems to be getting back on track, her sisters' lives are spiraling out of control.
