It is not just the temperature which is rising, It is the continuing growth of the relationships which began in Hourglass Part One. As things begin to take off, it doesn't stop the tentative nature of their own uncertainties. Eva and Annie moving forward even though neither wants to directly address the question of age. Both concerned there may be much deeper issues. Kendra is completely taken under Rosie's spell and wants to believe in her love. But she feels is confused by the mixed signals in both Rosie's words and actions. While the obsession of Heather's art grows stronger, tapping not only into the emotions of the people around her but their actions as well. From the confusion that surrounds them, new bonds begin to form. Kendra turns to Eva for her experience which helps Eva to sort out her own feelings about her new relationship. Dre looks to Eva to help her find the way to win Erin's heart. In turn, Dre's straight forward common sense view of life causes both Annie and Eva to see look beyond their fears, allowing their relationship to grow.
