RedHorse. Fear of the unknown. I lost my arm in a war so far from home, and without my hand, my confidence wanes. The ghost, they're everywhere, taunting me. Life is one round of disappointment after the other. How can I go on? How can I love another when my life is in pieces?Painted Girl. Uncertainty turns to anger. That man, RedHorse, he's got another thing coming to him if he thinks I gonna just leave because he's lost a part of him. He's whole to me. He came back, that's all that matters. Spirits call me. I spend time with them but no, I won't tell anyone just yet. They're daydreams, made-up figments of my imagination. The Old One. Time is not on our side. Other spirits gather, wanting war. This land was ours and shall be again. No matter how I get it, or who gets hurt. Grandfather. A quandary. RedHorse is home. The spirits have waited but the boy still doesn't hear them.
