Imagine a world where we help each other reach our goals and full potential, instead of mocking and degrading each other. Imagine a world where we all lend a hand to help raise the best children the world has known. Imagine a world where absentee fathers (and mothers) are greatly reduced in number, and no longer impact the lives of their children negatively. This is the world Chloe Elam believes is within our reach, and inside this book she lays out specific guidelines to reach this pinnacle. By stripping down negative habits we have seen in the past, we can move forward with new habits, better habits which will lay the foundation for our best selves to emerge. Amazed by a two minute conversation held between her and her cousin about a phrase that is often used in black families, "You So Black You Purple", Chloe took on the task to write boldly to her race about issues that are rarely talked about that she believes could change the dynamics of black families but also, if took into consideration could create sincere unity in the world.
