As Gray Wolf hid his daughter away from male visitors to his tribe, one wealthy Indian named Baruk heard whispers of his daughter Willow. He investigated further to learn of Gray Wolf's motives to make a good arrangement for Willow to marry the right man. Taking the time, Baruk traveled to Gray Wolf's village, but stayed just outside the area so that he could spy on this special girl who had the reputation of extraordinary beauty.
