When Marina, a 19-year-old college freshman, tries to protect a wedding dress in a bridal shop from a raging tornado, something bizarre happens that transports her to alternate worlds of mystery. There, she meets two men. One is somewhere between a snake charmer and a snake oil salesman. The other is knowledgeable, kind and helpful, having a strong arm to literally lean on and -- well, worth a second look. Which one will she fall for, or perhaps neither. The only thing she can claim from these islands in time is a pocket watch, which she tries to protect from an evil force. Why does she go to these alternate worlds?
