Each day, I learn more and more about Chronic Kidney Disease. That's what I write about in SlowItDownCKD, my weekly blog at http: //gailraegarwood.wordpress.com and my daily Facebook posts. Not all my 107,000 readers in 106 countries have computer access. They've asked for the blogs in print form... and I provided that. This book was formerly the second half of the unwieldy The Book of Blogs: Moderate Stage Chronic Kidney Disease, Part 1. I've cleaned up the format and added an index. The original book that was the impetus for the blog and the book series is What Is It and How Did I Get It? Early Stage Chronic Kidney Disease. Then there's SlowItDownCKD 2011, The Book of Blogs: Moderate Stage Chronic Kidney Disease, Part 2, SlowItDownCKD 2015, and SlowItDownCKD 2016. Read one or read them all. Just make sure you, your family, and your friends are educated about CKD. Don't be part of that 90% of the 31 million people in the U. S. who have undiagnosed CKD or one of those who knows he has it but doesn't know what to do about it. Even more shocking is the fact that 10% of the world's population has CKD.
