Special tells the true story of a doomed love affair between the author, Michael Raff, and Jill Adams, a young Mormon girl from Utah. After many delays and complications, they fall in love - a love that spiraled out of control - with many highs, heartaches, and breakups along the way. At its essence, Special is about Jill's deep-seated belief - that she would die tragically in a car accident - which haunted them both, and proved to be an inescapable reality.
