Mohamed, a Sunni Muslim, grows up in Syria under the Assad regime, never knowing from one day to the next if he will survive. Immigrating to the United States to study medicine in 1995, he embraces freedom with a passion. He finds the love of his life, builds a successful medical practice, and becomes a U.
