Science rests upon several basic assumptions, namely:1) There are rules that reliably govern the universe, although we don't know where these rules came from. 2) These rules are the same everywhere in the universe and for all time, since the beginning of time and will never change, although how we know this is not clear. 3) That science is essential to man's survival and is of the utmost seriousness in nature. We know this because scientists say so. Now, I don't want any of my science friends, that I used to have, to go hungry or anything. But I feel it is my duty to dispel the last basic assumption of science. So, in this book, I present scientific topics as if they were not serious. This is not as easy as it sounds and a great deal of effort has gone into it. However, I want to assure you that, despite the difficulty, there is something true and scientific in every chapter. I think.
