It would love to silence victims so we can continue our lives like it isn't happening to nearly 50% of humanity. It wants more than anything for people to stay oblivious to the epidemic that is destroying souls. But silence doesn't make sexual abuse disappear. Silence gives sexual abuse power. It is the author's personal story of abuse and rape, the post traumatic stress disorder she experienced and how her religion kept her captive to silence and oppression for nearly two decades. Liria describes everything from her shame, her self-mutilation disorder, her abortion, and her fight to find value in herself to her relationship with God and her hopes for the future of her own family.
