She was shy and old-fashioned. He was outgoing and funny. Jackie Farr and Andy Stone met during their first few weeks of college in 1970. Two people could not have been more opposite, but they became friends throughout that first year. The following summer, Andy mustered up the courage to ask Jackie to a party. She didn't know it was a date until later that evening. There was so much more she didn't know. Could she like Andy more than just as a friend? Should she take that chance and possibly harm their friendship? She took the gamble which began a journey from Ohio to Idaho to a life in Las Vegas. They say opposites attract.
