Would any place be safe? Brooke Willard needs a safe place to hide from her abusive boyfriend, Tad. This time he almost killed her. Leaving with only the clothes on her back, she turns to her childhood friend, Pinky Hartfield. Because Pinky's headed out of town, she enlists her brother Sam to watch over her friend. Brooke hates the idea that the guy she'd crushed on as a teenager now sees her as a victim.
