Once upon a time, I was a man, not a beast. Turned by the vengeful enchantress' hand, my world would never be the same. She called me a beast on the inside, turning me into a foul creature to match. Only true love could save me, something I knew nothing about. Once upon a time, I was a girl, not a prisoner. Papa named me Belle, for the beauty he saw in my eyes. I never saw it myself. Instead, I hid in books. Though, trading my fate for life of my papa, I stepped inside the dungeon of a beast. Not even words of escapism could save me from the mean, cruel creature. Searching my mind, my only hope was to conjure the characters and prose, which brought me such comfort. It was the only hope I'd ever have--or so I thought.
