Retirement was never part of her plan so she "transitioned" instead. This led to new opportunities and time to write about her very interesting life story. Barbie continues to lead an active lifestyle, enjoying travel, gourmet cooking, and spending time with family and friends. Barbie lives with her husband in Lafayette, Colorado.
