Polygons, Polyhedrons, and Other Shapes for Grades Pre-K through 5th begins by teaching children the basic shapes, such as circles, squares, and rectangles, as well as familiar colors. They can be used as digital flashcards when opened with an eBook and are appropriate for children as young as three. Older students (those in at least kindergarten) are then taught what a polygon is and will learn "The Polygon Song," which shows how to identify a polygon by the number of sides it has and a polyhedron by the number of polygonal faces.
