Love Looked at Me and Laughed
Ac Benus
Poems about one's first reciprocated love, encompassing bittersweet joy, confusion, sorrow, doubt and confidence. Readers of this collection have often commented on how the words here connect to feelings and thoughts often hard to put into expression. As love is painful, rewarding, intimidating, awe-inspiring and daunting, everyone who has felt it can relate to "Love Laughed at Me and Laughed."
As far as the quality of the verse, AC Benus cut his teeth as a poet on some of the later, more ambitious pieces. These stand today as still some of his best work.
