Inspired by a couple who had just adopted twins from Russia, a sixty-five year old single woman, from French-speaking Quebec Province, Canada, who immigrated to the United States in the mid 1970's, embarks on a bold and most challenging adventure to adopt two children from Siberia, a girl thirteen and her brother nine-and-one-half.
