Joy and Hope are two sisters who lost their mom in a tragic accident just over five years ago. The sisters have taken two different paths to become the strong women they are today, where they now work together on their family ranch, "Two Sisters' Ranch". Hope works hard all around the ranch, including making meals for their guests at the Inn on the ranch. Joy spends most of her time coordinating and leading the activities on the ranch, including trail rides. Since the accident, Hope has struggled with a fear of leaving the ranch, as well as riding the horses. She cares for them every day, alongside her best friend and ranch hand, Gabe Corsetti, who unbeknownst to Hope has always been in love with her. Joy left home after the accident to attend college. After graduating, she returned home to help on the ranch. A new guest at the ranch, Ethan DuLane, finds Joy's attention. Ethan is sent to Two Sister's Ranch by his publisher, Amanda for some inspiration and finds more than he bargained for this Christmas.
