The phrase, 'wounded walking Christians, ' is an oxymoron. The church is supposed to be a place of refuge and relief for those who are broken and wounded by the issues of life. However, some who come to find comfort and healing from the church often end up as collateral damage, experiencing more injuries due to the practices of church systems.

Most Western culture church systems are syncretic, which means that other beliefs and values have been added to the New Testament church structure. This book challenges leaders to examine their church practices and systems to make necessary changes that will limit or even eliminate the shameful outcome of collateral damage.
