Though this novel can be read as a stand alone, some aspects within might benefit from some knowledge of Delaine Christine's body of works. Because of the complexity of the story-line the author advises completing volumes I-VI (1-6) or, at the very least, either the first three odd numbered or the sum total of the even numbered volumes, prior to moving on to the finale. Otherwise, a readers eyes might begin to twitch, their ears will begin to hum, their heads will begin to roll, and their brains will effectively explode from the exorbitant amount of information and confusion that will inevitably result from the aforementioned mistaken behavior.
