Melissa's life changed dramatically in May of 1864, when her parents James and Tessa Fuller were killed by Sherman's troops on their fiery march through Georgia.

This typical southern girl had lived her young sixteen years of life with her parents in a small home behind the shop they owned. When Melissa was not busy helping her parents, she explored the woods surrounding her home.

With Tessa Fuller's death, Melissa learned a secret her mother had kept hidden from her which revealed her true identity. When her mother's life ended, Melissa received special gifts that would change her life forever. As time passed she began to realize the awesome legacy her mother left her and the reality of the heavy responsibility that now rested on her shoulders.
