IIn the Wrong Body? addresses a wide spectrum of transgender issues, all from a biblical view. The numbers of those who are transitioning from male to female and from female to male are growing rapidly. This strange attempt at finding inner peace is embraced by the LGBTQ+ community and increasingly protected by laws across America, prompting Kent and Katie Philpott of Miller Avenue Baptist Church in Mill Valley, California, to author this book. Their hope is to better equip Christians to reach out to the victims of transgendering and their families rather than feeling pressured to embrace it.



The Philpotts see those transitioning as victims caught up in a cultural phenomenon that contributes to many people harming themselves, suffering a high rate of suicide and mental illness, becoming homeless and substance addicted, and being taken advantage of in horrendous ways. This is the "why" of their book.




Topics include the Social Construct Theory; definitions relating to transgender: binary and non-binary, bisexual, gender fluid, androgynous, intersex, intergender, asexual, genderqueer, gender-nonconforming, and others; the original intent of Creator God; medical issues surrounding transitioning; clustering; parenting advice; border wars; reverse transitioning; and advice for Christians and churches.
