Tragically, the aftermath of slavery continues to still impact generations of African Americans.




Although fictional, Kenyatta is very much rooted in history. Her emotions and feelings are raw and real, and her quest for freedom is fierce. Kenyatta's perspective, voice, vision, and her dreams to return to her beautiful homeland never falter and are realized, due to creative license.
