Sermons, Sayings and Such Ben Scott

In my lifetime I have known many great preachers who have become mentors for me and the one of whom this book is about was one of them. Ben Scott's grandfather, father, brother and three sons and grandson are all ministers of the gospel. I am not at all sure as to how many ministers that was in his family tree, and that of his wife's family. I am aware of at least four families of which he was a part that all had ministers. For example, the Scott family, the Smith family, the Vandivort and Postlewaites. We have shared so much in common. We both served the same churches at different times in our ministries, both pastored in Arkansas and Missouri. We have served as denominational officers from time to time. He and his wife were always active in areas where my wife and I could share sound advice. He and his wife, Genelle, have three sons all of whom are Free Will Baptist ministers and have followed in the steps of their parents as active ministers in this denomination.--Alton E. Loveless
