The characters in the book are trying get changes made, while staying out of trouble... Author Graham Clews turns several perceived government wrongs into a cause célèbre for his ageing cast of characters (while getting a few things off his chest, at the same time). The book is a tongue in cheek dig at our political process, laced with a good hard look at a few costly, unfair benefit programs sanctioned by both major political parties.
