It is a truth universally acknowledged that every single, good Calabrian boy is looking for a single, good Calabrian girl to marry so they can cook, wash and clean for him! It's the late eighties and twenty-three-year-old Ree is trying to get out of yet another annoying marriage arrangement forced on her by her strict Calabrian family who live by every unwritten rule they brought to Australia from their hometown in Calabria back in the fifties.
